Dachser is set to build a larger Eurohub in Bratislava following a rise in demand for logistics services in the Slovak Republic.
Construction has started on a 3,400 sq m transhipment hall for industrial goods and a 1,800 sq m office building, which are due to be completed during the first quarter of 2011.
The new facility is being built on a 64,000 sq m site and a warehouse with 13,500 pallet spaces is being added in the second building phase.
“As one of three Eurohubs, Bratislava plays a decisive role in distributing goods within Europe,” said Michael Schilling, Dachser managing director for European network management & logistics systems.
Dachser has been operating in the Slovak market since 2004 and now has around 110 employees in the country.
