Microlise has launched a new trailer tracking device – a small, water-proof battery backed unit that can either be charged up from the AC mains, attached to the asset or trailer and left to report in periodically, or connected to a DC supply on the trailer.
Tracking data is transmitted by the unit, via GPRS, and can be used within the Microlise Map Client and Transport Management Centre in exactly the same way as a regular Microlise Tracking Unit.
The standard configuration of the Trailer Tracking unit means that it reports in every five minutes while moving and every six hours when stopped.
