German rail operator Deutsche Bahn has chosen Syncron’s inventory management software to manage its spare parts supply chain in Germany.
The software will integrate with Deutsche Bahn’s existing SAP systems and is designed to provide visibility and greater efficiency in forecasting, replenishment and distribution across some 100 stock locations.
Achim Leister, head of spare parts supply chain management of Deutsche Bahn, said: “We manage more then 600 000 SKUs and repairables that support the continuous operation of all rail vehicles in Germany. We see a great opportunity with Syncron to improve our efficiency in this process.”
