Easilift launches system to limit drive-away accidents
Easilift has launched a loading bay management system designed to prevent accidental vehicle drive-offs.
The system synchronises the dock door and associated control equipment with an electronic key control system manufactured by Traka.
The system can be retro-fitted to current installations. It ensures that the dock doors are only opened by qualified staff, and provides an audit trail, giving a concise record of loading bay activity.
Under the system, vehicle keys are substituted for a Traka iFob, an intelligent key containing a unique electronic chip. This disables the door from opening until loading procedures are completed and the iFob is returned, releasing keys.
