Volga Dnepr has flown two freight shipments of relief aid into Pakistan on behalf of the Japanese Ground Defence Force, after devastating floods hit the region last month.
The AN-124-100 freight flights carried 84 tonnes of equipment, including a helicopter, power supply vehicle, towing car and bar, and spare parts.
Both flights operated from Sendai in Japan to Lahore in Pakistan.
Volga-Dnepr has delivered eight flights to Pakistan, carrying relief supplies from various international government organisations. Services from Germany, Turkey, Oslo, the UK and Italy have sent general relief goods.
More than 1,600 lives have been lost by the floods which began in the mountainous northwest after monsoon rains. The flood has since moved slowly down the country towards the southern coast.
