Outdoor leisure brand Regatta has invested in wireless warehouse and mobile hardware technology from Zetes for its four distribution centres across the country.
Zetes has supplied and implemented a Cisco wireless network and switches, 72 Motorola MC9090 hand-held terminals and Zebra QL420 mobile printers. Zetes is also responsible for ongoing hardware support.
Real-time visibility has already reduced shrinkage levels, and stock counting times have gone down by 50 per cent.
The aim of the investment was to support the company’s increasingly multi-channel business model with real-time stock information.
Regatta exports products to Europe and is currently branching out into the North American market. It also owns the Craghoppers, Hawkshead and Dare 2B brands.
