John Pearson is the new chief executive officer of DHL Express Europe, after a 24 year career at DHL.
Pearson joined DHL Express in 1986 and has held key positions in sales, marketing and general management such as global sales manager for financial institutions, executive vice president commercial, DHL Express USA and commercial director for DHL Asia Pacific.
In 2008, Pearson was appointed chief executive of the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. The current chief executive of the Americas, Roger Crook, will succeed Pearson as CEO for the APEM regions.
Pearson will continue the strategic work that global chief executive Ken Allen, has initiated in Europe, and is tasked with developing the company’s position in the international cross border shipping business in Europe.
Pearson continues to chair the customer service executive committee of the DHL global express board.
