X2 Computing has launched an upgraded widescreen tablet PC, the X2390i.
The computers can be used in a variety of point of sale and point of service applications.
The new model is based on the Intel Z530 1.6GHz processor and is IP64 rated for water and dust resistance. It has a TFT LCD screen and a 3 mega pixel camera with 3G wireless WAN and GPS and RFID as optional additions.
Francis Davis, sales and marketing director of X2 said: “These new tablet computers can be used by field service organisations to improve the efficiency of staff operating away from the office.
They are compatible with terminal services and server based applications for cloud based systems, and operating systems such as Windows7, XP and Linux.
