Majestic Wine Warehouses is buying an extra Volvo FM9 6×2 rigid truck in addition to the three they took last year.
The vehicle was on the road in September, and based at Majestic’s UK warehouse complex in Watford. It will make deliveries to their stores throughout the UK.
The new FM9 is being fitted with an Essex Bodies dry freight box body and a Dhollandia tail lift.. It has a sleeper cab, and I-Shift automated transmission
Majestic’s transport operation runs a two-brand fleet and their acquisition policy is straight purchase. “It allows us to make our buying decision on dealer service and vehicle reliability, and we get the best price without relying on finance from elsewhere”, said logistics manager Mark Evans.
