Electronics retailer Best Buy has selected HDi home delivery software from Axida.
The software supports a full end-to-end home delivery process and, integrates with Best Buy’s existing SAP systems. It has been tailored to the retailer’s specifications by Axida in partnership with Best Buy’s logistics provider Wincanton.
It creates delivery schedules and debriefs, via wireless handheld computers. It also provides workflow management, contact management and management reports functions.
Best Buy stores showcase audio and visual equipment, computing technology devices and connection services. It has three stores in the UK, in Thurrock, Southampton, and Merry Hill in the West Midlands, and plans to open more in Aintree, Derby and Croydon this year, and Bristol and Nottingham in 2011. It’s e-store is due to open before Christmas.
