The Klarius Group is investing £850,000 in its UK logistics infrastructure, including new vehicles, loading equipment, software and training.
The motor industry supplier specialises in exhaust systems, catalytic converters, Lambda sensors, diesel particulate filters, filtration and shock absorbers. It is particularly strong in the independent aftermarket, original equipment and original equipment spares businesses. Sales have been increasing as a result of high export demands from Quinton Hazell world-wide sales offices and new UK customers.
Paul Hannah, international business development director, said: “Same-day delivery that can be relied upon one-hundred-per cent by our customers is a cornerstone of our business growth. Operating our own fleet and managing our own logistics enables us to guarantee the reliability of delivery that is so essential to our customers. The investment also allows us to improve efficiency while also retaining delivery flexibility.”
And operations manager Charles Greaves said: “We can add an item from stock to a delivery as little as ten minutes before the lorry leaves the depot. Being able to deliver this level of service on a national and international level is what sets us apart from other suppliers and manufacturers. The fact that we now offer ninety-nine per cent availability of over 10,000 parts in our range just serves to underline the gap in service and between ourselves and a collection of ‘next best’ suppliers.”
