Twinings Teas has ordered five Flexi articulated forklifts for its recently opened production site in Poland.
The new site was needed to cater for the growing taste for tea in continental Europe. The Flexis will work both within factory and the raw materials and finished goods warehouses at the plant.
Twinings has chosen Flexi HiMAX models – heavy duty compact four wheel articulated forklifts, designed to provide the maximum storage density.
Each pallet load of tea weighs up to 1.6 tonnes, and one of the reasons that Twinings chose this particular truck was the stability offered by the configuration.
John Maguire, sales and marketing director of Flexi Narrow Aisle, said: “Twinings obviously needed a proven and efficient storage solution to support their growth. The ability to run their operation reliably and efficiently is critical to the company’s ongoing success and they identified that the Flexi will bring a number of benefits to the logistics operation.”
