Currie European Transport has placed its biggest-ever order for heavy trucks in a deal with Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland for 25 Volvo FH-500 tractor units.
The tractors are specified with the Globetrotter XL cab, I-Shift automated transmission and Volvo Dynafleet telematics.
Currie has taken the tractors through Volvo’s Flexi contract hire programme set at a two-year term, with a break-out option at twelve months. The R&M includes tyres and annual mileages are expected to be around 100,000 miles
The order follows a “Fuelwatch” programme run by Volvo Truck and Bus Centre, North & Scotland on Currie’s existing fleet.
