Nightfreight is gearing up to deliver over 1,000 tonnes of fireworks over the Guy Fawkes season.
Nightfreight will operate a round-the-clock delivery service to the UK’s biggest firework displays on behalf of its nationwide retailers, including Pyrotex Fireworx, which has just been named British Musical Fireworks Champion 2010. The express delivery service also delivers all the online retail sales for Pyrotex.
David Downes, head of the dangerous goods division, said: “We have managed to fit the increased number of fireworks consignments into the day-to-day schedule of our hub – without causing disruption… We also handle shipments from as far away as Indonesia, China, Italy, Germany and Spain.”
