Home delivery management company MetaPack has launched an intelligent parcel tracking engine called Parcel-Track.com.
The new tracking system was developed and used internally by the company as a standard feature in their multi-carrier management software, which has now been made available as a standalone service.
Parcel-Track.com provides a single point of entry to find tracking information for any parcel shipped via a tracked service – regardless of which carrier was used.
It presents the user with an input box for a tracking number, and retrieves the status of the delivery within seconds. Carrier tracking available through the engine includes: FedEx, APC, UK Mail, City-Link, DHL, DPD, HDNL, Hermes, Interlink, Parcelforce, Royal Mail Special, Tuffnells, TNT and UPS.
