New ecommerce position at Electrocomponents
Distributor of electronics and maintenance products, Electrocomponents, has hired Keith Reville in its new position of general manager of ecommerce. He joins from Orange UK where he held the position of director of online sales, responsible for the company’s online mobile store and telesales operations, which generated over £600m in sales. His previous roles include director of ebusiness at Hilton International and head of dotcom sales at Thomas Cook UK.
Dunstan joins Wincanton
Andrea Dunstan will be appointed to the Wincanton executive team as group human resources director from 1st December 2010. She will have a brief handover period with Nigel Sullivan, who resigned from the company in July. Dunstan joins from AstraZeneca where she held a number of senior human resources roles since 2001. Prior to that she held a number of human resources director positions at Barclays Bank, Vantios and Sara Lee Bakery UK.
New vice presidents for Virgin Atlantic Cargo
Virgin Atlantic Cargo has announced several new appointments, including regional vice presidents with responsibility for the commercial aspects of its in-market activities.
* Nick Jones has rejoined the airline as regional vice president EMEA after three years with Emirates, based in Dubai.
*James Williams has taken up the post of regional vice president, Americas, based in New York and responsible for Virgin’s commercial cargo activities throughout the region.
*Dominic Jones is now regional vice president, Asia Pacific having previously been vice president, EMEA for Virgin Atlantic Cargo.
* Marie Epstein has been appointed regional sales manager for the United States, based in New York. She has 26 years experience in the freight forwarding, brokerage and airline industry
Hellmann hires Grace
Hellmann Worldwide Logistics UK has taken on Nigel Grace as its business analyst. Grace joined the team at its hub in Lichfield this week, and will be working with the financial controller and the Hellmann directors to provide detailed financial analysis to aid decision-making. He has extensive financial experience, and his latest role was billing finance manager at Capita IT Services.
Manship promoted to head of Europe2 at Swisslog
Swisslog UK has promoted Andrew Manship to managing director and head of its Europe2 Region. He will also oversee the business units in Belgium, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand. He has previously been managing director for Swisslog Australia and New Zealand, sales director for Dematic in Northern Europe and head of operations at Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems.
Lebedyeva takes new position at AMI
Air Menzies International, the trade-only airfreight wholesaler, has appointed Olga Lebedyeva to the newly-created position of general manager national procurement and marketing, based at its Chicago, USA office. In her new post, Lebedyeva will handle all negotiations with airlines, establishing prices and corporate contracts across the entire USA.
DailyFresh takes Keijzer as director Germany
DailyFresh Logistics, the European logistics service provider for fresh produce, has appointed Arjen Keijzer as director Germany. In the new role, Keijzer will be responsible for the company’s business activities related to the German market. He has more than 20 years of experience in European transport and logistics, with an in-depth knowledge of the market for perishable products.
Robinson admitted to Ladder Association Training Committee
Gill Robinson of Ladderstore has been elected to the Ladder Association Training Committee. She has wide-ranging knowledge of access solutions, together with ladder training expertise. Ladderstore is a privately owned SME business with blue chip customers.
