Developer Goodman has submitted an outline planning application to resurrect the London International Freight Exchange albeit in the guise of the Slough Intermodal Freight Exchange on the 215-acre site it acquired from Argent two years ago.
The new application will total some two million sq ft of rail-connected distribution warehousing. The proposals seek to respond to an identified need from the government for between three to four such facilities to serve London and the South East.
