Wine and spirit merchant, Gordon & MacPhail has bought the Accord Voice WMS system from Business Computer Projects to manage its warehouse operation at its headquarters in Elgin, Scotland.
The firm wanted to modernise and improve warehouse efficiency, by replacing its paper-based warehouse management system with the latest technology.
It chose BCP’s Accord to provide a flexible, integrated warehouse management solution able to deliver voice functionality across the whole warehouse.
The multi user Accord Voice WMS will go live early in 2011 and will use XML to interface directly to Gordon & MacPhail’s existing stock management system.
Established in 1895, family owned and managed Gordon & MacPhail is an independent Scottish whisky specialist that runs wholesaling, bottling, exporting and distilling, and owns its Benromach Distillery in Forres. It made history in March this year as it launched the world’s oldest bottled Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a 70 year old Mortlach, under its Generations brand.
