Former Asda distribution director David Gibbons has launched “The Logistics People” with the promise of an innovative approach to workforce procurement.
He is working with Chris Yelland, who has 25 years experience in recruitment.
The plan is to work collaboratively as consultants; using a network of established, trusted contacts from across the UK to procure a workforce. All levels of operatives will be provided, including warehouse operatives, fork lift truck drivers, HGV drivers and clerical staff, plus junior to senior management positions.
Gibbons says: “I know how much of an issue finding the right people for your business can be and just how much disruption a trail of incompatible candidates can cause. Building upon my experiences within the industry, I knew a change to the way logistics companies did business was imperative. That is why we offer effective tailored solutions to fit each individual business; we want to work closely with our customers to ensure we are providing the right solutions both for short and long term operational efficiency – rather than just throwing people at their problems.”
