C&C Group, which makes Magners cider and Tennent’s lager, has chosen Tradeteam for a five year distribution contract in Scotland, six months after announcing a distribution deal with the company in Northern Ireland.
For the contract Tradeteam will deliver primary and secondary distribution services, moving products to pubs, clubs and bars, and packaged kegs, bottles and cases to wholesalers via its central transport platform.
C&C will also benefit from strategic stock replenishment and forecasting services and an overspill facility storage facility for the brewery at Tradeteam’s neighbouring Cambuslang site.
Gavin Murdoch managing director at Tradeteam said: “The geographical extension of this strategic partnership is a massive boost to the business and its expanding operations in Scotland.”
Tradeteam has handled C&C’s distribution requirements since the company bought Wellpark Brewery and the Tennent’s brands in August 2009.
