Stobart Group’s promotional arm has experienced unprecedented demand for merchandise and membership of the Stobart members club, following the television documentary Eddie Stobart: Trucks & Trailers, aired on Five.
Numbers of new fans joining the members club in October 2010 increased by nearly 450 per cent on the same month last year, taking total membership to some 15,000 fans. Purchases of Stobart gifts and merchandise have also risen by 350 per cent compared to the same period 2009.
Members of the club receive a fleet list with the name, registration and make of each of Stobart’s 2,000 trucks, with the aim to spot as many as possible on the road. Members also have the chance to get their chosen girl’s name emblazoned on the front of an Eddie Stobart truck.
