By wpengineA row has broken out on the Isle of Man following the launch of a freight service to Liverpool by Mezeron, a Ramsey-based shipping company.
The RMT union, which represents staff at the established Isle of Man Steam Packet, claims that jobs at the Steam Packet are being undermined because Mezeron uses “vessels crewed by seafarers on poverty pay” – a claim disputed by Mezeron.
