Karl Ulrich Garnadt is to take over as chairman and chief executive of Lufthansa Cargo from 1st January.
He succeeds, Carsten Spohr who has been appointed group’s executive board and as chief executive of Lufthansa German Airlines.
Garnadt is currently in charge of hub management and passenger services on the Lufthansa German Airlines Board
Additionally, the Lufthansa Cargo supervisory board has named Karl-Rudolf Rupprecht as successor to Karl- Heinz Köpfle as board member operations at Lufthansa Cargo. Rupprecht is currently employed in the Lufthansa passenger business as head of hub management in Frankfurt.
Karl-Heinz Köpfle is retiring from the group on 1st April.
