Kerry Logistics has acquired a majority shareholding in ADCO Shipping and Forwarding BV, a privately held company, headquartered in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
The move is part of Kerry Logistics’ strategy to increase coverage and volumes for the company’s network in Asia and beyond.
As well as inbound de-consolidation and outbound container loading, ADCO operates warehousing and distribution services from its warehouse in Rotterdam. This will allow Kerry to offer inbound and outbound supply chain services throughout northern Europe.
Gary Wilcock, managing director, Europe, Kerry Logistics said: “The addition of ADCO to our growing network in Europe will also increase our negotiating power with the sea freight carriers to and from northern Europe. We will also be able to expand the range of logistics services we offer to customers across Holland, Belgium and Germany.”
