Dobbies Garden Centres is growing its e-commerce business with expansion of the internet fulfilment operation provided by NYK logistics.
The fulfilment service for online operation, www.dobbies.com, builds on the service that NYK already supplies to Dobbies.
The new operation will also include stock intake, storage and order picking of internet stock-keeping units as well as preparation for dispatch by nominated carriers. It will help Dobbies improve its geographic reach and stockholding while providing significant IT benefits.
Dobbies has branched out from its original base in Scotland and now operates 26 garden centres nationwide. It has outlets as far south as Shepton Mallet, Milton Keynes and Ashford and has widened its scope further online.
