Geodis is investing 20m euros in a global transport management system for its freight management division, Geodis Wilson.
It has signed a deal with CargoWise to develop and implement the new system within the next three years.
Jean-Louis Demeulenaere, chief executive of Geodis said: “This cooperation is a strategic keystone to transform Geodis Wilson into one of the world’s leading players in global freight forwarding.”
The new TMS is based on CargoWise’s ediEnterprise platform. It will gradually bring operational, financial and customer relationship management processes under one unified umbrella.
