Henkel, which makes Loctite, has awarded Kuehne +Nagel a two-year contract to manage the Shanghai warehousing operation for its adhesives business.
The contract will cover receiving goods, quality inspection, storage, picking and packing, returns handling, shipment of full pallets, boxes and sales units, as well as value added services such as re-packing and relabelling.
Kuehne + Nagel has merged existing facilities into one shared distribution centre in Shanghai’s Putuo District to consolidate Henkel Adhesive Technologies’s warehousing activities.
The resulting 86,000 sq ft building includes a designated area for temperature sensitiveand dangerous goods and provides room for future extension.
The logistics provider already manages warehousing operations for Henkel in Malaysia, Canada, and France.
