Eddie Stobart has sponsored the Emeralds & Ivy Ball in aid of Cancer Research and The Marie Keating Foundation as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations.
Stobart Group chief operating officer, William Stobart said: “We thought long and hard about how to mark 40 years on the road for Eddie Stobart, and supporting these charities’ life-saving work through the Emeralds & Ivy Ball has provided the most worthy occasion and cause to record this significant milestone.”
The Emeralds & Ivy Ball, was hosted by Ronan Keating, the singer, who established the Marie Keating Foundation.

Several truck-related items were auctioned, including the traditional Stobart honour of naming a truck, and the 2010 revenue of the truck known as Phoebe Grace which was made famous in the channel five documentary Eddie Stobart: Trucks & Trailers.
Mark Dixon, the driver of Phoebe Grace featured in the TV show, presented a cheque for £151,700.
Ronan Keating said the funds raised would secure the services of six specialist cancer care nurses and two units for the next twelve months.
