Road freight service provider Freightex has set up an office in Dublin as part its expanded operation.
The company operates a real-time exchange platform matching unallocated freight with empty vehicles travelling between the UK and the rest of Europe.
Sarah Beirne, sales director of Freightex Dublin, said: “With Ireland being a trade dependant economy, Freightex will help Irish companies to manage their Irish imports and exports in an efficient and cost effective manner, helping them to manage their profitability in these tough times.”
The company says that 70 per cent of all freight movements are carried out by filling otherwise empty trucks.
