Yodel has joined with System Training to provide a logistics apprenticeship programme to introduce more young people to the logistics industry.
So far, 13 apprentices have been selected by Yodel’s Learning & Development department for the 26-week programme, which will provide a Level 2 NVQ in warehousing and storage, traffic office, delivering goods awareness, first aid and manual handling.
The students will undergo training at System Training’s Middlesbrough facility combined with placements at Yodel depots across Teeside, Sunderland and Gateshead.
System Training employs the youngsters who complete training before beginning placements ensuring they are adequately skilled for the workplace.
