Job vacancies in transport and logistics have risen 35 per cent compared to the same period last year making it the largest growth sector in the UK, according to Working Links, the employment and skills provider.
As the UK unemployment level continues to fluctuate – the figure now stands at 2.5m – transport and logistics is officially the sector that has seen the greatest jobs growth. Other sectors that have shown above average growth are finance and community work.
Working Links says it is also finding an increasing number of vacancies in the retail, hospitality and care industries.
Overall, vacancies across Great Britain have increased by 24.8 per cent since the same period last year.
