Andrew Tinkler, chief executive of the Stobart Group, has been named North West Business Leader of the Year by the CBI North West, at its annual awards.

Tinkler said: “This really is something special for the business as we approach our 40th anniversary. It’s not all about me though, it’s about the people in your business who are right behind you all the way.”
Tinkler said the keys to his success are: knowing his customers, understanding costs and keeping a tight rein on them, and never being complacent.
