DHL has expanded its road freight business to Georgia, offering its Euroconnect groupage services in the Caucasus via gateways in Vienna and Frankfurt.
Thomas George, chief executive officer of DHL Freight said: “Expanding into this market and other new markets adjacent to Europe, allows us to serve international companies transporting goods to and from these regions and accompany them as they strengthen their commercial ties there.”
Georgia also serves as a gateway to Armenia and Azerbaijan. DHL Freight expanded its Euroconnect service to Morocco and Tunisia last year as part of its strategy to bolster profitable growth in new markets.
