Carlsberg UK has selected Microlise fleet and distribution transport management systems for its 300 vehicle fleet.
Some ten years ago the brewer took Microlise’s Opus warehouse management system to track and trace stock throughout its warehouse operation.
Carlsberg hopes to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, increase efficiency and utilisation of their transport while improving safety, and reducing their overall operating costs.
Mark Groves, national distribution director at Carlsberg said: “It is very important that we continue to innovate and improve our distribution network, especially as Carlsberg UK are the only national brewer that still delivers direct to customers.”
