Kuehne + Nagel is to buy three South American companies that specialise in perishable logistics: Translago SAS and Agencia de Aduanas Excelsia in Columbia and Mastertransport SA in Ecuador.
K + N is extending its global perishable logistics business as part of its five year growth strategy.
Translago and Agencia de Aduanas Excelsia are exporters of flowers and other perishables, mainly to destinations in the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Kuehne + Nagel reckons that together, the three companies control some 75,000 tons air export perishables per annum.
