NWF, owner of Boughey Distribution, has acquired Evesons Fuels, an 80 million litre depot based fuel distribution business for £3.3 million.
NWF expect the acquisition to increase its fuels division’s volume by over 20 per cent and will expand the coverage of the division’s operations in the UK.
Eveson’s operates from four sites including a recently built depot and office facility near Kenilworth running a fleet of 21 tankers. Its other depots are located at Droitwich, Long Marston and Southampton.
NWF will integrate the business into its existing 13 depot structure delivering improvements in operating efficiency and will retain the Evesons brand.
The cost of the purchase will be paid from the group’s existing cash resources and finance facility, and the acquisition is expected to be earnings enhancing in the first full year of ownership.
