RedPrairie has launched an update for its 2010.2 Warehouse Management System.
Scott Zickert, product manager for distribution products, said: “Now, managers will be able to set rules that can ensure every store in a network receives at least a case when receiving shorts exist, for example. In addition, we now support the ability for users on the floor to perform those distributions to store grid locations using RF and voice technology.”
* RedPrairie has also bought Shippers Commonwealth, a saas transport management system provider. It said that the acquisition added a proven saas TMS solution and client hosting programs to RedPrairie’s productivity suite.
ShipComm and RedPrairie have been strategic alliance partners for more than a decade. ShipComm’s TMS and Collaborative Transport programs manage some more than 300 enterprise freight sites.
