Norbert Dentressangle, which is in the final stages of taking over TDG, has reported a 4.4 per cent rise in sales to £2.4bn (2.8bn euros) for 2010.
It is understood that the takeover of TDG is awaiting final approval from the European Commission and is expected to be completed by mid-February.
Last year, growth was strongest in the transport division where sales were up six per cent to £1.39bn (1.64bn euros).
The group expects to make an operating profit of some £85m (100m euros) for 2010.
Chief executive, François Bertreau said: “I am pleased with the performance of our UK operations; Transport has made steady progress over the year and Logistics ended up with a very good performance both in sales development and profitability. We look forward to completing the TDG deal which will considerably reinforce Norbert Dentressangle’s presence in this important market.”
