DP World’s London Gateway has become the first port under construction to be awarded a quality assurance standard for its environmental management system.
The deep sea container port and logistics park, currently being built in Essex along the Thames Estuary, has been certified by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance with ISO 14001:2004.
Chief executive Simon Moore said: “Our environmental management System is designed to provide assurance and mitigation for both the marine and terrestrial impacts relating to the construction of the London Gateway project.”
