Eddie Stobart has ordered 225 new Schmitz Cargobull fixed roof curtainsiders to replace 223 vehicles that had been operated by haulier Irlam, which Stobart acquired in 2008.
Kenny Wylie, Schmitz Cargobull’s key accounts manager said: “While Schmitz Cargobull already provides the overwhelming majority of Eddie Stobart’s refrigerated trailer fleet, Eddie Stobart has, until now, had a single supplier for its curtainsiders.”
The manufacturer worked with fleet engineer Stuart Smith to introduce modifications to the trailers which will be built at the company’s German plant in Altenberge.
