Tesco is using Castell’s drive away-prevention system Salvo at 24 of its UK distribution centres.
Tesco is rolling out the system nationally after a three-month trial at its distribution centre in Hinckley, Leicestershire where it was installed on 46 loading bays in the goods out area.
The Salvo system links the articulated trailer to the loading bay door during the loading procedure which block power to open the door until the trailer is secured.
