British Airways has awarded a contract to manage the supply and distribution of their staff uniforms to Gist.
The airline is introducing an intranet-based uniform ordering system for more than 30,000 uniformed staff, which will allow them to order in advance and collect from the collection point of their choice.
Gist will provide a supplier-management function, ordering product and maintaining stock levels from British Airways’ approved suppliers. It will also provide a fitting and tailoring function, with tailoring through a service partner.
This is an extension to an existing contract under which Gist manages the stocking and despatch of British Airways’ inflight catering and on-board retail products. The service is for British Airways flights worldwide and includes value-added services such as customs management and product recycling.
