Harrods is set to relocate is distribution hub from Osterley in West London to Newbury as part of new plans to expand the offering of the iconic store by its new owner Qatari Holding.
It is believed that the store is looking for up to 300,000 sq ft after reportedly pulling out of a build-to-suit deal with SEGRO on the former Guinness site in Park Royal known as Origin.
Sites in the region that could accommodate as large a facility on a build-to-suit basis include ProLogis Park Newbury although specific planning would be required and for buildings immediately available there is Gazeley’s 256,000 sq ft unit at G.Park Thames Valley which could be secured on extremely good terms.
