Kimberly-Clark Europe has extended its contract for OmPrompt to automate its orders and supply chain connectivity, for a further three years.
OmPrompt began managing communications between the firm’s European shared service centre in the UK and the hundreds of carriers managing its European logistics in 2005.
Peter Surtees, director of consumer logistics at Kimberly-Clark Europe said: “OmPrompt provides that crucial visibility across the supply chain. Using OmPrompt Carrier Connect we can on-board a new logistics provider in days, and select the best rates from the best providers without worrying about fixed connectivity costs. OmPrompt have proved their worth for us in Europe, and more recently Eastern Europe, and we are building on that success.”
OmPrompt’s order automation manages any customer order from outside Kimberly-Clark’s EDI capability, transforming and delivering HTML, fax/images, emails, PDF or text files directly to its ERP system. A web portal provides real-time access to audit trails for every transaction.
