Caljan Rite-Hite has acquired AMH Services in a bid to support customers in both design and installation, and service.
Spencer Roberts, formally managing director of AMH, will head up the new company, which will retain the name Caljan Rite-Hite, said: “As a combined force we are in a stronger position to support our customers with design, installation, project management and service, utilising the Caljan Rite-Hite product range, enabling them to achieve consistency, improve health & safety and productivity while reducing their costs.”
Caljan Rite-Hite reckons the acquisition will mean a significant step in the overall growth strategy that identified the need for a service infrastructure providing coverage in all regions of the UK, with a 24/7, two-hour response time.
The combined company aims to keep business as usual as the two companies merge into a single team throughout the first half of 2011, during which time the Nottingham operation will move into the Milton Keynes premises of AMH.
Caljan Rite-Hite designs, manufactures, installs and maintains loading and unloading systems, dock solutions, energy-saving products, health & safety products and industrial doors for use within distribution centres, warehouses, and parcel hubs and depots.
The product programme comprises: telescopic belt and roller conveyors, belt curves and data capture equipment for parcel handling applications; dock levellers, dock seals and shelters, high-speed doors, cold-store doors, HVLS fans, industrial LED lighting, fixed and retractable barrier systems, trailer stands and vehicle restraints.
