RCS Logistics has invested some £340,000 in upgrading its transport fleet, including three Scania 440 Topline tractor units and two Don-Bur double deck trailers.
Two of the Scanias are replacements for existing vehicles. The new units will be used by RCS for general distribution work in international and UK operations.
The 13.7m tri axle Don-Bur trailers are ‘teardrop’ style curtain-sided units that incorporate custom-designed, three-tier ‘ratchet’ lifting decks. RCS will use them solely for trunking work across the UK, including night operations and for its distribution contract with The Delivery Co, which provides storage and distribution of paper, board and plastics.
