Clipper has taken on 16 new Iveco trucks for its New Look distribution account. The deal includes a 7.5 tonne box body, eight 15 tonne rigid demounts, and seven prime mover demounts, which will be split among five locations from East Kilbride to Avonmouth for nationwide product delivery.
As well as delivery, the prime movers will also be used as wagon and drag trunk vehicles.
Clipper operate demounts to enable block loading at source and avoid the need for cross docking on a hub and spoke network. All of the vehicles have been designed to carry both Abel and RSG demountable bodies.
Richard Ball, New Look account manager for Clipper said: “Many of these vehicles have very different specifications and the ability of Northern Commercials to accommodate all of our requests means we have little need to look elsewhere.”
