Palletways has appointed Martyn Young managing director of its UK Member Network.

He takes over from Craig Hibbert who has become group member development director with the task of developing the company’s European networks.
James Wilson, chief executive of Palletways Group said: “Martyn’s knowledge of the palletised freight sector and experience in growing our UK operation means that he is ideally placed to drive future growth in the UK, which is key to the overall performance of the group.”
Young has been involved with Palletways operations in Birmingham, Edinburgh and London for the past four years. He said: “My appointment comes at an exciting time as Palletways looks to grow market share in the UK by constantly adding value to its proposition, in particular our capability to collect locally and deliver to eleven countries.
“Critical to our competitiveness and ongoing success in the UK will be continued investment in our pan-European network and infrastructure, which was reflected in our recent investment to create a dedicated network in Germany.”
