Carrier Transicold has launched the Vector 1550 City trailer refrigeration unit, which has been certified compliant with the PIEK noise abatement standard.
It supplies up to a 40 per cent increase in refrigeration capacity during pull-down, by using a patented hermetic compressor arrangement, suitable for a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
PIEK-registered equipment should not surpass 60 decibels, the equivalent of normal conversation.
