Toyota Motor Corporation expects its production to recover sooner than planned, in June, in the wake of the disruption caused by the Japanese earthquake and tidal wave in March.
Based on current expected part procurement, manufacturing should approach normal levels in June, worldwide. This was not expected to happen until July in Japan and in August outside Japan.
Toyota says it is possible that during this period of adjustment in production, reduced production levels may have a significant impact on its business results.
